Formalities
King Paimon is an entity featured in the Lemegaton’s Ars Goetia, or the Lesser Key of Solomon. There are a few (widely spread and at times documented) theories about King Paimon including that he is King of the Djinn, likes to be addressed as “King,” and that he appears with a notable entrance. He is a spirit that is well suited to aiding practitioners in legal matters, manipulation, learning secrets in these fields, and better understanding magick itself. The stronger your relationship with King Paimon is, the more likely to understand his many sides and instruction you will be. King Paimon is a trustworthy spirit who works efficiently, oftentimes behind the scenes, and speaks with candor.
Alcohol is a good standard offering, in the times I have worked with King Paimon, he has expressed an interest in tequila. Aside from alcohol, many other offerings are accepted. Frankincense is an incense associated and offered to him, and fruits are common offerings as well. Dedicated objects might also make for good offerings.
King Paimon should be called up with respect, reason, and an openness to hear what he has to say about the matter at hand. It is suggested that Kings (of the Goetia) are called while standing–a lesson I learned well from another King. King Paimon should also be called on Sunday, during the daytime hours, and while facing the West. As he is associated with the Sun, yellow is a color of significance. His element is water. And finally, his enn is Linan tasa jedan Paimon.
King Paimon & I
King Paimon is a spirit I have met on a few occasions. Due to the nature of our arrangements though, I won’t be saying much about them. Most of the times that I have called on him for help, it was related to legal matters. These have been regarding travel, court issues, and more. He is a spirit that I have asked to resolve both my own personal matters, and those of others. Additionally, he was a prominent spirit in a group I was participated in which led us to be closer and during that time to have a relationship that was not only founded on result-based magick.
King Paimon does not usually deliver results for me as quickly as perhaps other results come, but I do often have tall asks of him. He is not a spirit that “drops by” frequently. Outside of rituals where I call him, he has only appeared in one other ritual of mine where he stayed and conversed on a private topic with me and the spirit who I was calling at the time. That said, I do believe he has been graciously helpful to me even when I have not explicitly requested his aid.
Although I do not have any type of casual relationship with King Paimon, at a more formal level we get along well and he is a spirit that I would recommend to almost anyone looking for guidance or help in an area he is associated with. He has always treated me with respect, sincerity, and honesty. He has never been threatening, and appears to have a very logical method to both his words and his work.
King Paimon’s Appearance & Specialties
Appearance & Energy
King Paimon appears most often to me as dressed in full royal attire. I have seen the camel once, I have felt and seen him accompanied by others a couple of times. In mediation, I often see a desert scape and sunset colors. His appearance is very beautiful and I have never seen him look anything close to frightening or monstrous, instead he looks pretty human to me with an ethereal beauty. When I see him, I see long hair, light eyes (though I could not say whether golden, brown, blue, green, or other), and fine, delicate features.
I have routinely heard things including an unexplained thunder-like sound and bells accompany him. The first time we met, especially, I remember a boom and a flickering of light although it was sunny out, there were no storms anywhere nearby, and the lights were off. Nothing fell, no objects were moved. I really have no idea what happened but he came with flare. Since then, I’ve had similar but to a lesser degree experiences calling him. His energy can be a little bit overpowering, but is not suffocating or remotely scary in the least. He arrives in my space with a very clean air, and a feeling of dignity.
Specialties
While there is little King Paimon cannot help with, there are certain offices that he specializes in. These are what he is usually called for by people who are not intricately familiar with him, and people who have long established relationships with him alike. These several areas King Paimon specializes in include the mind, finding and revealing secrets, and teaching “arts & sciences.”
In my experience, King Paimon works efficiently and without delay. It is important to remember, though, that requests that are complex in nature might take longer to complete than other types of requests. I have never had issues result from working with King Paimon; he is clear, friendly, and very helpful. Aside from those items listed above, if you are comfortable working with him, you might want to ask what other types of requests he can fulfil.
