Because spiders represent creation and the extension of self into our world. They are natural hunters, protectors, and patient beings intent on keeping the chaos of life thriving. Spiders are creatures that both weave and walk their webs. As such, these wonderful creatures bring knowledge and healing to humanity. Not only do spiders offer these and many more qualities, they show that divinity is everywhere and learning to channel it brings opportunity, chaos, and peace.
The spider web is reminiscent of the web of humanity, to which we all connect, and it reminds us of our ability to walk it.
Spiders are creatures of significance to me for many, many reasons. Aside from the relationship I had with them when I was younger, which is steeped in fear and curiosity alike, I have also long admired their symbolism, stories, and the way I’ve watched them operate in real life.
As far as magick goes, I work primarily with several spirits from the Ars Goetia, some of whom I have pacts and long-term agreements with, and a dear dragon friend. I also do magick outside of these relationships, though I cannot say it’s wholly independent from lessons learned through spirits. Outside of this, I work with gods and goddesses, certain other “demons” (those not found in Solomon’s texts) and on occasion angels.
While working magick that directly deals in influence and personal affairs is some of my favorite, especially seeing within the minds of others and binding-type rituals, I’m also keen on learning about the other side of the “mirror” and furthering my knowledge of healing through magick. I’ve also taken a considerable interest in further exploring the relationship between the Shadow and magick, working within darkness and with different spirits to different ends in this process.
What don’t I do (much)? I don’t often work with elementals, and I don’t often work with angels. While I have experience with both, they aren’t the types of magick I tend to pursue.
So, that’s a bit about me! The rest can be found scattered across the site. I’ve been told many a time that my writings are never–no matter if I’ve tried to keep it out–devoid of my personality and feelings.

Spirits, Books & Learning Magick
Understanding of the self, however fleeting it may be, is a greater key to your magick and a likely path, than any number of spirits or books can provide. What has brought you to this path, and when shed, what remains of yourself to follow deeper into it?
Glasya-Labolas: Dark Huntress
“Author of bloodshed and manslaughter” is a particularly potent form of imagery attached to her name. Glasya-Labolas is truly a dark entity, very much a “demon” in many senses of the word. She reeks of power and confidence.
Shadows & Spiders
Tonight, while sitting here working I encountered a spider. After regaining its stability, the spider walked back up its thin thread. Wanting to make sure it got all the way up and wouldn’t soon be in hair or on my desk, I turned on the flashlight from my phone and watched it ascend.
Deserving & Worth
I threw those words away a long time ago and I never want to look back. What a nightmare pair of words for magicians complicate things with. If we, as a human society, refuse to believe everything is ‘fair,’ how are these words acceptable in magick? One of the best things I did for my…
Sitri: Of the Darkness and the Deep
Sitri is most often discussed in terms of lust, but this is a trivialization of his true talents. Sitri carries his power as though it is all of him, it he all of it. This is a lesson we might all do well to learn from him.
Success and Regression: Results
When you see results and then they disappear or reverse, what’s really happening? Here, Magick of Spiders covers getting, keeping & disappearing results.
Sitri: Health & Wealth
Sitri is associated with much, and in my practice these associations include healing and abundance. I am hoping to share a little about this part of practice with this post, and hopefully foster some shared personal gnosis or inspire others to consider these spirits outside their most commonly described niches. The energy from within becomes…
Let’s Talk Money Magic
So, Saturday night is coming up, which makes it perfect for my money manifesting rituals. I design all the rituals I preform myself, but this is pretty simple and has been helpful to me in the past. Whether it’s trying to get a new job secured, an interest in a good bonus, looking for some…
What About Offerings?
Offerings are not just about what you dig out to put on the altar; they are about what you are willing to give (to do) and what of yourself becomes given in the process. It isn’t a question of intention, money spent, time expended, but rather of meaning.
Sitri: Prince of Lust
Sugar sweet with candied glowing eyes, Sitri is an enchanter of mortals’ souls and whisks them away as blood dawns to drown them in the shadow’s pool. Sadistic and beautiful, Sitri is a powerful demon and shows this in all things.
Furcalor Ritual: The Sea’s Depths in Reach
There was no mistaking my eyes. Before me, was this demon-god. Furcalor. e appeared with a tail that sectioned off into thinner waving tendrils of darkness and power. They moved like the snakes I’ve seen accompany him. And then, and then, he began to speak when I called out and asked why he summoned me…
Experience with the Non-Living
Spiders, Shadows, Shades (& Maybe Ghosts) Just a couple spooky stories on some creatures. Hide & Seek in the Corner Once I was in a house with my two little brothers (who, for reference are both 10-15 years younger than me) and there’s one room that is kind of freaky…especially when it gets dark out.…
King Paimon: Renowned Manipulator and Day Spirit
King Paimon should be called up with respect, reason, and an openness to hear what he has to say about the matter at hand. It is suggested that Kings (of the Goetia) are called while standing–a lesson I learned well from another King. King Paimon should also be called on Sunday, during the daytime hours,…
Spiritual Parasites (Creation)
As you may have guessed, I have a deep admiration for and fascination with spiders. And that is exactly why I chose to make a few spider parasite creatures that roam around the astral and act as an addition to my wards and protection systems…I think parasite creation is pretty fun and fascinating, so I…
Dropping Mind & “That” Mind State in Magick
“Dropping mind” with regard to magick refers to going from an everyday, common wakeful state of mind to a state that is often incredibly useful for magick, astral experiences, and meditations. The importance of learning to drop mind lies partially in the control it gives over your magick, and partially in the control you learn…

The Shadow of the All is a force that binds together. It shines within those who have tasted its depths, and glows in All. But not all access it, most will struggle and most will drown. Come and see the fountain.
